Our Story
Two Decades of Trusted Legal Counsel
Van der Berg Attorneys was founded in 2004 by Johan van der Berg, following twelve years at leading Pretoria commercial law firms. Johan set out to build something different — a firm where clients receive partner-level attention on every matter, regardless of size.
Over the past two decades, the firm has grown to a team of 10-20 attorneys and support staff, expanding into property conveyancing, employment and labour law, and estate planning while maintaining the boutique, client-first culture that defined its early years.
Today, Van der Berg Attorneys serves a broad range of clients — from first-time home buyers and individuals needing estate planning, to established businesses navigating complex commercial disputes and employment matters.
